(Video-only notes. Lack of data and limited available video reduces conviction and ability to assign specific bonus value.)
Right-handed hitting infielder with broad set of appealing foundational tools.
Body/Athleticism: Lean build, quite immature physically with significant room to add strength throughout his frame. Enhanced physicality should bolster all elements of his profile. Controlled, fluid mover.
Bat: Solid BP look as a RHH — loose swing geared for loft combined with a natural ability to accelerate his hands through the zone, though path features some length accentuated by a bat wrap. Hand quickness combined with projected improvements to his physicality should allow him to achieve fair raw power at peak. Decent, but somewhat inconsistent, in-game look in limited available video. Shorter, more direct path than in BP — that said, often shows slower, more mechanical movements along with diminished contact quality on the outer-half resulting from a tendency to bail out to his pull-side. However, still only 13 and flashes enough here to create hope for a playable hit tool with polish.
Defense/Arm/ Run: Smooth actions on the infield with solid hands and decent lateral mobility (though limits to range not tested on video, need more to assess ultimate defensive home). Fairly quick transfer and able to throw from varied slots and platforms. Arm strength should be sufficient to stick on the left side of the infield as he matures physically. Ran 6.8 in the 60 and should provide impact on the bases as he continues to fill out.
Summary: Enticing base of traits merits significant interest — quality defense / run combination along with opportunity to provide sufficient offensive value. Physical progression and ability to actualize his raw tools at the plate will determine ultimate impact. View as potentially worthy of a mid-level bonus, but would need to see significantly more in-game ABs to make this commitment. Inherent drawbacks of a RHH-only profile diminish desire to invest, but would still track closely.
