Edgar Florentino INF 2025/26

(Brief video-only notes. Lack of data combined with limited available video severely reduces conviction and ability to assign a specific bonus value.)

Lefty infielder with decent look in BP but need for in-game improvement. Medium build, lacks present physicality and has significant strength gains to come. Decent body control but lacks explosiveness.

Loose, quick hands in batting practice, showing innate ability to adjust his barrel — good rhythm with average bat speed and the ability to drive the ball in the air. Despite this impressive BP showing, his mechanics completely break down in-game. He appears quite unrefined with some stiffness and much less rhythm, impeding his ability to make quality contact. Enough to like in BP to hope for improvement, but long road ahead.

Fair actions on the infield but lacks lateral mobility and hands are just okay. Below average present arm strength that has a chance to reach average at maturity, but arm action is inconsistent and impedes his accuracy. Chance to be a playable 2B but significant distance to achieve this with downside risk of a move to the OF. Ran a 7.5, strides aren’t the most fluid and see him as a below average runner in the future — this will constrain him to a corner if he’s forced to move off the dirt.

The look from the left side in batting practice is intriguing enough to merit a follow. However, in-game look doesn’t present a viable hit tool and lacks the secondary traits to overcome this. Not a player I would target barring significant in-game improvements at the plate.
