Notes on Other Follows from Miami Miracles Showcase (Part 2)

Notes from Miami Miracles event (April 24th-April 26th). Players of interest without enough conviction for a full report.

Argenis Fransua OF 2026/2027 – Medium Follow

Projectable LHH OF with intriguing traits at the plate. Lean at present with significant room to add strength throughout his frame. Loose swing in BP with some ability to adjust his hands, solid bat speed that should continue to improve as he matures physically. Patient approach should augment ability to get on-base, but tendency to get too long and sell out for power during games that reduces his in-zone contact. That said, the raw traits are there and believe there is a chance for a quality hit/power combination as he matures. Lacks present arm strength but this should get to at least avg- as he develops — didn’t love the OF actions but not a great look here and don’t have a run time which is needed to add further context.

Bat drives interest, but need to see significantly more to properly evaluate.

Maykol de la Rosa OF 2026/27 – Low Follow

Lefty OF with developing feel to hit. Average athlete, physically immature with a lean build that will limit ability to add strength. Loose swing with a quick path, shows real hand feel with the ability to adjust his barrel to make consistent contact. Fringe-average present bat speed combined with lack of physicality hinders power projection and ultimate expected impact at the plate. Ran a 7.19, don’t have a great feel for the OF defense or arm which hinders ability to evaluate profile. Ability to play CF will be pivotal given lack of power impact and don’t have significant confidence he’ll be able to achieve this.

Potential ability to hit merits a follow, but don’t see a clear path to impact ML value based on present look — better than anticipated defensive evaluation could change this. Old-for-class, inherently limiting interest in the profile.

Omarlin Beato OF 2027/28 – Low Follow

Young OF with projectable frame and interesting traits in BP. Well-built with squared shoulders that portend significant strength gains. Quality bat speed with barrel whip from the RH side in BP, lending to real power projection. Despite this BP look, much less appealing in-game with length and steepness to his path. Oriented to the pull-side and question his innate ability to adjust his barrel. Ran a 7.53, young and this should improve but has the look of a corner fit.

Power profile creates intrigue, but lack of confidence in the ability to hit limits interest — worth following the bat to gain more context. Extremely low conviction here due to brief look with only 1 game seen in showcase setting.
