Notes from Miami Miracles event (April 24th-April 26th), initial look in large showcase setting limits confidence.

Body: Lean build, lacks present muscularity and frame limits strength projection. Young and has the potential to excede this dependent on physical growth trajectory.

Athleticism: Solid athlete with clean movements and quality body control. 

Bat: LHH with advanced feel for barrel, manipulates his hands well to consistently square the ball. Bat speed is average, with a relatively quick and flat path. Current swing path and questionable ultimate physicality limit power projection, but see a real opportunity for a quality hit tool. 

Defense/Arm/Run: Good hands on the infield with quality actions. Clean arm action with a quick transfer and future above average or better arm strength as he matures physically. See likely eventual move to 2B/3B given present lateral mobility, but will definitely have the arm to play on the left side and wouldn’t rule out a SS outcome dependent on development path. Ran a 7.1 and should be a quality runner as he continues to mature. 

Summary: Chance for quality hit/defense combination on the infield. Wide range of outcomes given lack of present physicality, but real interest given feel to hit as a LHH and defensive ability which create a solid foundation to build on. Very old for the class and upside is limited by questionable potential for impact, but see path to meaningful big league role. Brief look limits conviction, but would continue to follow as this is the sort of base profile that could make for an appealing investment.
