Notes from Miami Miracles event (April 24th-April 26th), initial look in large showcase setting limits confidence.

Body: Tall, athletic build with long levers. Lean at present with above average shoulder width that lends itself to significant strength projection. 

Delivery: Inconsistent operation with significant rotational effort and loss of balance to the glove side on his finish. Frequently struggles to sync up his extremely long, offline arm action with the rest of his delivery. Standout traits here are his quality arm speed along with his ability to generate big extension down the mound that coupled with his low 3/4 slot creates a low release height. 

Athleticism: Quality mover with good explosiveness down the mound. 

Pitch Mix: Works his FB at 88-91, features significant arm side life with variable vertical movement. Velocity upside, extension, and low release height create an opportunity for an elite pitch here. At peak, likely to generate consistent swing and miss when located up in the zone.  Works a tight, two-plane slider at 75-78, inconsistent but at its best can show average. Throws a CH in the low 80s that he lacks feel to locate but shows some fade to the arm side. Both off-speeds flash and heighten his appeal, but his overall theme of inconsistency creates large hesitation they will develop the consistency needed to be effective. 

Command: Poor present feel for the zone, consistently struggling to locate and frequently walking opposing hitters. Present delivery and arm action create obstacles to improvement. Athleticism drives some hope for development, but entire operation needs significant alteration. 

Summary: Significant upside driven by his fastball projection, athleticism, and developing feel for secondaries. That said, see low probability he actualizes this upside given his delivery and arm action — long road ahead to develop the command and secondary consistency necessary to compete at the big league level. Upside would drive interest in investing dependent on the specific ask, as the high-end outcomes are extremely appealing despite the limited chance he achieves them.
