(In-person notes from April 24-26 Miami Miracles event. Initial look in large showcase setting limits evaluation conviction.)

Body: Lean build, lacks present physicality. Room to add muscle throughout, though frame will limit ultimate strength gains.

Athleticism: Good athlete with advanced body control. 

Bat: Quick path from the RH side with loose hands and quality feel to manipulate his barrel and generate consistent contact. Pronounced leg kick with leg hanging in air as a timing mechanism. Flat path through the zone and doesn’t generate a lot of power from his lower half. Combined with just fair physical projection will likely limit his ultimate impact, needs to alter path and approach to maximize power production. 

Defense/Arm/Run: Fluid, twitchy actions on the infield. Lateral mobility may push to 3B/2B, but would like to see more here. Future above average arm strength with ability to throw from varied slots, arm to play anywhere on the infield. Ran a 7.3 and should be a solid runner as he continues to develop physically. 

Summary: Athleticism, hitterish traits, and defensive ability create appeal. Older age for the class, questionable ability to play shortstop, and limited power projection limit upside. Would like to continue following to further hone in on the hit tool projection. Additionally, had limited opportunities to evaluate defense and need to see more to further refine projection here. Could see value as a mid-tier bonus investment if further looks confirm initial hit/defense evaluation.
