Electric righty with tantalizing upside. Average height with medium build and solid physical projection. Plus athlete with explosive, twitchy movements. Loose, quick arm with some length into 3/4 slot, delivery features some effort with head whack. Gets big extension down the mound and athleticism allows delivery to work despite effort. 

Lively fastball works at 92-96 with carry and run, able to generate S/M up in the zone. Arm speed gives chance for the pitch to tick up as he matures. Frequently throws his SL at 80-83, can flatten out but at its best shows biting 2-plane break that will generate frequent swing-and-miss down and below the zone. CB thrown at 76-79, up-and-down shape with depth but less bite than the SL. Fringe feel and not an out pitch at present, but has spin rate-driven upside. At minimum, should be a second playable breaker to give hitters another shape to think about. Shows feel for a power CH at 87-89, at its best generates quality fade and has a chance to be an above average offering to neutralize lefty bats.

Fairly advanced control for the zone, locating his fastball well and burying his slider down and away with relative consistency. Despite some concern with the effort to his delivery, his plus athleticism should allow him to develop at least average command and could see him exceeding this.

Quick-rising cold-weather guy whose season is just getting started. Less stuff history than comparable arms in the class and will need to monitor closely as spring progresses. That said, possesses all the foundational traits necessary to go in the comp or second round of the draft.  Athleticism and depth and potency of pitch mix create potential for impactful high-end outcomes. Relative lack of track record adds to inherent prep pitching risk, but real potential for impact drives belief that a team should buy him out of his commitment to Wake Forest.
