Tall righty with quality hand feel but athletic question marks. Listed at 6’5, already fairly muscular throughout. Fringe body control with limited explosiveness, delivery is stiff with short extension and loss of balance to glove side. Short arm action, hides ball well into 3/4 slot. 

FB sits at 87-91, size gives some hope its velocity will improve but limited arm speed and athleticism don’t portend significant development. Solid tail that pairs with his CH/SL, but nothing standout and will be hit hard over the plate. CH is his carrying secondary, kills spin at 78-81 and flashes good tumble and fade — very inconsistent at present but chance to be plus in future. SL at 77-82 is his most-used secondary at the moment but doesn’t have the same projection as his CH. Flashes solid sweep but lacks real bite, more of a pitch to create weak contact than generate consistent swing and miss. Throws a CB at 72-74 that has bigger depth and slurvy shape, fairly good feel for the pitch but lack of velocity or true bite will likely limit it to change-of-pace offering in future. 

Solid general control at present, but see less clear path to improvement than other profiles at his stage — long-levered with limited athleticism and delivery question marks. Potentially enough strike-throwing to profile in a starting role, but don’t view above average command outcome as likely. 

Can see a path to back-end starter outcomes, likely as a deceptive, secondary-first type. Has the present hand feel that points to future ability to generate wide array of secondary offerings. That said, fears about how his FB will play and how much command he can unlock limit interest.  Tennessee commit, would not invest the bonus likely necessary to sign him away from school. Could understand a team willing to take a chance on him based on belief in their development group’s ability to unlock more octane in his arsenal.
